Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid LPN / LVN license in New Hampshire
  • Long Term Care (3 years of experience)
  • Long Term Care experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous travel experience
  • Rural or small facility experience

  • Skills checklist completed within the last year
  • 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment
  • Active certifications at time of submission

Work Setting / Responsibilities

  • Long-term care setting
  • Supervise nursing assistants within scope and licensing requirements
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Complete computerized medication/treatment documentation
  • Perform wound care, including knowledge of wound vacs
  • Manage oxygen and gastrostomy/jejunostomy feedings per policy
  • Support resident admissions, discharges, transfers, and shift reporting
  • Oversee infection control and unit safety
  • Assist with staff orientation, education, and evaluation
