Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work schedule: 36 hours per week, every other week (EOW)
  • Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
  • Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department setting

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in an Emergency Department within the last year
  • Experience working with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma patients
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ENPC certification

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

  • Current American Heart Association certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS/TNCC/ENPC) with front and back card images
  • License verification dated within 30 days of start
  • Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature
  • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
  • Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
  • COVID-19 vaccine proof or approved exemption/declination (valid through October 2026)
  • Proof of MMR, Hepatitis B vaccination series, Influenza vaccine (or declination/exemption), Varicella vaccination or immunity
  • 2-step PPD or IGRA TB test with chest x-ray if positive (per state requirements)
  • Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
  • 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
  • Background checks including federal, nationwide, county criminal, SSN verification, education verification, and exclusion screenings (all dated within 30 days of start)
  • Signed professional and compliance forms including code of conduct, confidentiality agreements, conflict of interest disclosure, and others as required by the agency
  • System access form completed and uploaded one week before start
