Job Opportunity: RN Director of Nursing

Location: Fresno, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Director of Nursing. This leadership role requires demonstrated expertise in nursing services and prior leadership experience within healthcare settings.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry, including skilled nursing experience
• Skilled nursing experience within the last year
• Previous leadership experience in the healthcare industry
• Demonstrated expertise in the service area
• Proven leadership ability
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Requirements

• Health and Immunizations:

  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster or approved exemption.
  • Proof of MMR immunizations or positive titer; booster or declination accepted if negative.
  • Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive antibody titer, or declination accepted.
  • Influenza vaccine required seasonally (October - March) or approved exemption.
  • Negative TB test within 30 days of start; if positive, additional documentation required.
  • Proof of Varicella immunity or declination accepted.
  • Tdap vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted.
  • Health statement signed within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions.

• Background and Verification:

  • Criminal background check within 30 days prior to start, including county, national, SSN trace, employment verification, and federal exclusion lists.
  • Education verification including diploma or transcripts; foreign degrees require evaluation.
  • Professional license verification and primary source verification within 30 days of start.
  • Drug screen within 30 days of start (9 panel minus THC), updated annually.
  • Manual searches of federal exclusion lists and sex offender registries within 30 days of start, updated annually.

• Professional Documentation:

  • Resume or professional profile required.
  • Two professional references, including at least one supervisory reference.
  • Skills checklist specific to clinical role completed within 1 year of start.
  • Signed acknowledgments for policy packets, dispute resolution, confidentiality, and assignment confirmation.
  • Neutral background badge photo without facial jewelry.
  • Valid driver’s license or state ID (passport accepted).
