Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Shifts will vary day to day and week to week based on patient volume.
- Responsible for fulfilling all job duties of a staff radiation therapist.
- Expected to participate in warm-ups, closing shifts, and chart checks.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience preferred in Radiation Therapy.
- Previous travel experience preferred (not required).
Credentials & Certifications Required Before Onboarding
- Professional Licenses: Valid professional license with primary source verification (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted).
- Certifications: BLS certification (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted).
- Health Requirements:
- Fit Test (N95 respirator) within 365 days of start date, updated annually.
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity.
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30).
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test).
- Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date.
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date.
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start date.
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start date.
- Additional Documentation:
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city & state.
- Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset).
- Skills checklist.
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form upon acceptance.
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required).
- Education verification through background check company.
- SSN trace as part of criminal background check.
Additional Notes
- Some vaccines and tests have no exemptions or waivers accepted.
- Fit testing cannot be done onsite; must be completed prior to start.
- Contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
