Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician

Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Friday to Monday, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• On-call shifts:

  • Friday 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Saturday 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Housing

• Shared housing provided at no cost

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by ARDMS
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted)
• Valid professional license with primary source verification (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)

Required Trainings and Compliance

• FEMA ICS 100 Training (must be completed prior to onboarding, no exceptions)
• Criminal background check, including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid)
• Skills checklist specific to the role
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience
• Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above)
• Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance and for any extensions

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date (no religious exemptions)
• Color vision test within 365 days
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions
• TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)
• Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred
• Tdap vaccine preferred within last 10 years
• If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray required

Additional Notes

• All credentials and documentation must be up to date and verified prior to onboarding
• Housing agreement required if staying in provided housing
• Background checks and verifications must be current and updated if there is a break in service
