Job Opportunity: RN CVICU - Nashville, Tennessee

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: December 15 (Non-negotiable)
Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week
Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 holidays

Key Requirements and Credentials

Licenses & Certifications

• Nursys Verification: Required within 30 days prior to start. Must disclose any disciplinary actions with completed FACIS Questionnaire.
• Current Nursing License: Primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.
• BLS (AHA): Required before onboarding.
• ACLS (AHA): Required before onboarding.

Health & Immunizations

• MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer. No declinations accepted.
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider. No declinations accepted.
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years. No declinations accepted.
• Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required for flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31). Exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
• Fit Test: Required for all travelers; preferred before start, can be done onsite. Annual update required.
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA: Required with specific timing before start; annual TB questionnaire required.
• Positive PPD: Negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire (optional but recommended).
• Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment; updated annually.
• 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter. Includes testing for 12 specified substances.

Onboarding & Testing

• Ascension Core Competencies: Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics. Completed within a year of start, updated yearly. Minimum 80% score, max 2 attempts.
• Ascension EKG Exam: Must pass with at least 80%, max 2 attempts. Updated exam version required.
• Ascension Cerner Test-Out: Cerner test results and training checklist with signed attestation required.
• Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist to be completed within one year of start; updated annually.
• Ascension Onboarding Education Attestation: Completion of pre-hire 6-hour education module required.
• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding: Completed onsite.
• Ascension Nova StatStrip: Pre-hire modules required for non-allied positions.

Professional Documentation

• Resume/Profile: Required for submission.
• Two Professional References: Required prior to first assignment.
• Criminal Background Check: Includes SSN trace, employment verification, OIG search, national sex offender check. Must be current within 30 days of assignment start and updated annually or after breaks in service.
• Employment Verification: Past 7 years, updated annually or after breaks in service.
• Education Verification: Relevant to clinical work, completed within 90 days of start, updated after breaks in service.
• Driver’s License/State ID: Must be current, match address on file, and show front/back.
• Badge Photo: Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations.
