Job Overview

  • Specialty: Intermediate Care

  • Employment type: Travel
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
  • Shift: 12-hour variable day/night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Float requirement: Inpatient units
  • On-call/call-back: May be placed on call if low censused; call-back minimum is 2 hours
  • Weekend/holiday coverage: Every other weekend or less depending on unit needs; holidays as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minnesota RN license
  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • NIHSS certification
  • 1 year of Intermediate Care experience
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius

Clinical Experience

  • Complex medical patients, including ETOH, CVA, and sepsis
  • Wound care and wound vac management
  • Antibiotic therapy
  • IV starts
  • Neuro assessments
  • Restraints

Additional Notes

  • Epic experience is preferred
  • Unit may assign medical patients awaiting transfer, 1:1 sitter coverage, or helping hands duties
  • Royal blue scrubs required
