Location: Evansville, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (48 hours accepted upon request)
Overtime: Applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
Unit: 41 beds, Day shift nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4-5
Float Requirement:
- Primary float within skillset on the same campus
- Possible float to nearby campuses (8 to 11 miles away) with 2-hour notice
- Mid-shift float within campus; cross-campus mid-shift float unlikely but possible
Weekend/Holiday: Work three weekends every six weeks; every other holiday
On Call/Call Back: Not required
Patient Population: Post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, CHF
Skillset Required:
- Remote telemetry monitoring
- Chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes
- Straight catheter/Foley catheter care
- Ostomy care
- Heparin drips
- Blood and blood product administration
- Tracheostomy care
- PCA management
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Charting: Recent EPIC experience required (checkoff class required)
Unit Strengths: Experienced leadership, CNA support
Dress Code: Scrubs without competing health system or agency logos
Additional Notes:
- Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires
- Three call-ins can result in termination
- COVID-19 vaccine not required (subject to change)
- GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week

Valid Registered Nurse license in Indiana
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
One completed travel nursing assignment
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience in a Level II trauma setting
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
