Job info

Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Location: Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7 PM – 7 AM)

Unit & Patient Population

  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 12 beds
  • Patient population includes adults and adolescents
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:2
  • Common diagnoses/treatments: sepsis, ARDS, STEMI, stroke, DKA

Clinical Responsibilities & Procedures

  • Special procedures: bronchoscopy, endoscopy, moderate sedation, cardioversion, chest tube insertion
  • Float support available in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed

Charting & Technology

  • Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Required Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Work Schedule & Requirements

  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • Call requirement: none
  • Float requirement: as needed within skillset

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Minimum of 1 year ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
