Job Description
The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides professional respiratory care to patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Responsibilities include critical care, general patient care assignments, and related activities where duties are predominantly predictable. The therapist is accountable to the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care and must practice within the scope of the North Carolina Respiratory Care Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAHEA-approved respiratory care training program
- Current license to practice respiratory care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligible to sit for the exam
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
