Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery Nurse

Location: Turlock, California
Employment Type: Long Term Contract (13 weeks)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery
• California nursing license (EMSA certification not accepted)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)

Shift Details

• 12-hour day shifts
• Shift hours: 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM
• Weekly Monday start dates
• Start date: ASAP

Facility & Work Environment

• 11-bed unit (3 triage beds)
• Approximately 3 births per day with a low C-section rate
• Common diagnoses and procedures include laboring patients, triaging, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, tubal ligations, cerclages, and holding for epidurals
• Equipment used: fetal monitors, intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC), and fetal scalp electrode (FSE) cables
• The birthing center provides comprehensive mother and newborn care

This position is ideal for experienced L&D nurses seeking a long-term contract in a supportive, well-equipped birthing center.
