Ultrasound Technologist (2-5 Years Experience) - Contract
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: 12 PM – 8 PM
Hours: 8 hours/day, 38 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform or assist in ultrasound examinations.
- Provide technical assistance to Radiologists.
- Prepare and examine patients according to established procedures.
- Operate, adjust, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Take safety precautions to protect patients and staff from hazards.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' workstations.
- Assist in orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.
- Handle scheduling, answer phones, and may coordinate patient transportation.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Valid Ultrasound Technologist license or certification as required by New York state.
