Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Detroit, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients.
  • Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures in Intensive Care and General Practice Units.
  • Maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care needs.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
  • Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned.
  • Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Competency in Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analysis
