Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures in Intensive Care and General Practice Units.
- Maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care needs.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
- Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned.
- Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Competency in Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analysis
