Job Description

  • Perform specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services for adult and pediatric patients.
  • Work under general to limited supervision, capable of independent clinical and non-clinical duties.
  • Provide patient-centric care in various settings including acute inpatient, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote outreach clinics.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Use specialized imaging equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure completeness and technical quality per protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems, enter technical data/findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection following manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
  • Provide instruction, mentorship, and in-service training to less experienced team members.
  • Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty
    OR
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology specialty

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients

Certifications & Licensure

  • Current CT credentials as required by the hiring department
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions reliably
  • Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs
  • Accuracy in record-keeping and handling confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to multi-task, remain calm under stress, and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong communication skills with staff, patients, and families in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Core to intermediate-level understanding of anatomy, physiology, and specialty-specific technologies and terminology
  • Ability to apply theory and techniques to perform, analyze, and document procedures with limited direction

Shift Details

  • Full-time, 12-hour shifts
  • Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
