Job Description

• Entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision of a mentor/preceptor.
• Provides specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.
• Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions.
• Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician orders.
• Uses specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
• Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
• Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
• Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
• Participates in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty
  OR
• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology specialty

Certifications

• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• MRI Certification eligibility must be met and certification achieved within 12 months of hire

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist, with experience within the last year
