Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Jacksonville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel (Per Diem)
Expected Hours: 8-16 hours (not guaranteed), Saturdays and Sundays
Work Schedule: 1-2 days per week, providing inpatient/swing bed care

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing physical therapy care for assigned patients. The role requires adherence to all standards of the Physical Therapy Practice Act, providing technical therapy care, supplies, equipment, and interventions to a designated patient population.

Responsibilities

• Gather pertinent data from patient charts and other caregivers; communicate with physicians as necessary
• Independently assess all assigned patient types
• Recognize additional patient needs during evaluation and exercise good judgment in decision-making regarding additional testing
• Interpret results and formulate relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals
• Reassess patient progress regularly according to department and regulatory policies or as needed
• Identify appropriate equipment, discuss with patient and family, and make recommendations

Requirements

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) in Texas
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Physical Therapy specialty

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
