Travel RN Opportunity - Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Tele Respiratory Unit (7 Night Shift)
• Employment Type: Travel
• Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
• Unit Description:

  • 42-bed Medical Respiratory Unit specializing in acute and chronic respiratory conditions
  • Patient population includes pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD, various lung diseases, GI issues, diabetes, occasional stroke and surgical patients
  • Nursing ratio: 1:6 for main unit, 1:4 for an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit
  • Daily interdisciplinary team rounds
• Shift: 7 nights
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend, holidays as required
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensure:

  • Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or Compact license
  • No temporary licenses accepted
• Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience overall
  • At least 1 year experience in the specialty (Medical/Tele Respiratory)
  • Will consider 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license if specialty experience is met
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
