Physical Therapist (PT) Travel Position

Location: Sylva, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Urgent backfill position requiring pelvic and pediatric experience.
• Facility is an 86-bed acute care hospital offering multiple service lines including orthopedics, cardiology, general surgery, women’s care, emergency medicine, sports medicine, physical therapy, imaging, and laboratory services.
• Focus on providing a world-class patient experience with high-quality clinical care.

Requirements

• Specialty: Physical Therapy (PT)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required
• Certifications: BLS required
• Licenses: Valid PT License in North Carolina required

Skills & Experience

• Must Have:

  • Pediatric physical therapy
  • Pelvic physical therapy
  • Orthopedics
  • Neurology
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)/swing bed/short term rehab experience
  • Outpatient therapy experience

• Preferred (not required):

  • Vestibular therapy
  • Lymphedema therapy

Work Details

• Float requirements: Acute care within the same building; rare possibility of helping at a nearby facility in Bryson City.
• Weekend hours: None likely, but occasional weekend help may be needed if current staff is out.
• Call requirements: None
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 therapy
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): Redoc outpatient, Paragon short term rehab/swing bed

Additional Information

• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel.
• Orientation schedule available throughout the year.
