Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Call Requirements: None
Weekends: 4 shifts per month
Unit Information
- Unit: Med Surg 3E (3rd Floor, 3 East Building)
- Number of Beds: 28
- Staff: 32 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
- Day Shift Staff: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
- Night Shift Staff: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 3 PCTs
- Patient Ratios: 5:1 to 6:1
- Equipment: Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry
- EMR System: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license for Texas
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in Med Surg specialty
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of nursing experience
- Experience in epilepsy care

- No routine procedures performed on unit
