Job Opportunity: RN - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit & Position Overview

• Unit: 4th Floor, Bone Marrow Transplant (Oncology/Hematology)
• Number of Beds: 17
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 12-hour shifts)
• Call: None
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Float Requirements: May float to stepdown, critical care, oncology, and acute care specialty units as needed

Patient Population

• Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant patients
• Patients requiring blood and electrolyte replacement, neuro assessments, long-term IV therapy, chemotherapy, and physical therapy

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Bone Marrow Transplant/Oncology/Hematology)
• Stepdown and critical care experience
• Blood administration and electrolyte replacement
• Neuro assessment skills
• Central line dressing changes
• High-risk and hazardous drug administration

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology/Hematology experience
• Chemotherapy administration
• Bone Marrow Transplant experience
• Critical care experience including ventilators and drips

Certifications

• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• ONS chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate preferred
