Job Opportunity: RN - Colon & Rectal Surgery

Location: Albany, New York

Specialty

  • Experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital preferred:
    • 1 year experience with passing competency testing, or
    • 2 years experience with no testing required

Job Description

  • Care for post-operative patients with:
    • TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition)
    • NG tubes (Nasogastric tubes)
    • Central lines
  • Collaborate closely with Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses for ostomy and wound care needs
  • No block schedule or 48-hour shift requests
  • Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Competency test required within 24 hours of submission

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Critical care Float pool stays within the ICUs not much med surg and step floating and float pool management is cool

Cons

SICU is clickie and you can get fired easily. Some providers seem rude to black travelers
