Job Description

• Work in a 16-bed high acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• Schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Holidays as required by the facility.
• Every other weekend required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Focus on providing a safe, secure, and comfortable patient experience.

Requirements

Education

• Associate degree in nursing.

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or compact license (No temporary licenses accepted).
• Nursys verification.
• Required certifications:

  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA NIH or Red Cross equivalent.
• Preferred certification:

  • PALS (if working in pediatric unit).

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Will consider 18 months of experience if working under the highest level of professional license.
• Must have 1 year of recent experience in the specialty (ICU).
• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required.

Additional Information

• Patient-facing clinical role.
• EMR system: Meditech.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
