Job Description

Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a rehabilitation setting providing inpatient rehab services for adults recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The role supports a comprehensive treatment approach addressing physical, emotional, and psychological patient needs, focusing on improving functional ability and quality of life.

Unit Profile

• Specialty: Rehabilitation (Med/Surg)
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirements: Float within 5 units (Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury)
• Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
• Patient Ratios: Approx. 1:6-7 during the day, 1:8 at night; each nurse has a dedicated tech
• Number of Beds: 81 private rooms
• EHR System: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN/LVN license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS (CPR) Certification
• IV Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential preferred

• Scrub color: Black scrubs (ID badge provided by agency must be worn)
• Flexible, collaborative, and positive demeanor preferred
• Reporting time: 6:30 AM
• Float across multiple rehab units within the hospital

Important Notes

• Contractors must comply with facility influenza vaccination policy or approved exemption with masking during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31)
• Must submit resume, skills checklist, and license with application
