Occupational Therapist (OT) - Therapy

Location: Guthrie, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (5x8), 36 hours per week guaranteed

Job Description

• Implement treatment programs safely using a variety of treatment modalities.
• Provide patient care ethically, respecting patient confidentiality and treating all patients regardless of personality or medical issues.
• Follow infection control policies and complete incident reports as required.
• Document patient care and communicate effectively to meet quality improvement standards.
• Assist with marketing and coordinating workshops.
• Participate in quality improvement and program evaluation activities.
• Evaluate patients’ functional status and relevant medical/psychosocial factors accurately.
• Develop treatment plans with measurable goals and prioritize procedures to optimize outcomes.
• Modify treatment or evaluation approaches based on patient response.
• Utilize support staff effectively.
• Serve as a resource and provide orientation to new staff.
• Identify, update, and monitor programs, including policy development and staff training.
• Act as a clinical instructor for students.
• Assist with departmental or special projects as needed.
• Provide clear patient and family education throughout care and at discharge.
• Complete all documentation clearly, concisely, and timely according to department policies.
• Communicate effectively with professionals, patients, and families.
• Maintain current knowledge of technical and therapeutic advances and educate others.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Multi State Cert) (ABCP)
• Experience in management roles

Work Environment & Culture

• Must be able to work under limited supervision and make rational, logical decisions based on physician consultation, lab results, and patient assessment.
• Dress code requires black scrubs; other attire is not acceptable.

• No float or weekend hours required.
• No call responsibilities.
