Unit Information

Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Number of beds: 17
Staff: 21 total (Day shift: 4 CNCs, 7 RNs, 2 PRN RNs; Night shift: 2 CNCs, 6 RNs, 1 PRN RN)
Patient ratios: 1:1 to 3:1
Equipment used: Phillips monitors, Giraffe isolettes, Hamilton ventilators, RAM cannula, Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion syringe pumps
EMR systems: Meditech, CPN

Work Hours

48 hours per week
No special scheduling or return-to-office requirements

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Level III NICU experience
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
Current BLS certification
Current NRP certification
Rapid Response experience
Acute Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

Delivery experience
NICU/PICU experience
PALS certification

Typical Procedures Performed

Umbilical Arterial Catheter (UAC) insertion
Umbilical Venous Catheter (UVC) insertion
Intubation
