Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Per Diem

Job Description

• Provide cardiopulmonary services following approved protocols and department policies.
• Deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to inpatients and outpatients.
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Perform delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways and manage ventilators.
• Perform insertion of arterial lines and intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience within the last year.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.

Contract Length

• Approximately 52 weeks (1 year)
