RN - OR (Travel)

Location: Denver, Colorado Employment type: Travel Contract length: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 7 AM - 5 PM

Unit Overview

• Unit: OR
• Rooms: 14 ORs in a 408-bed hospital (1 Hybrid CV OR, 1 Cysto, 12 multipurpose ORs)
• Staff: About 60 FTEs, including OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, Service Line Lead RNs, Tech Service Line Coordinators, Clinical Charge RNs, Director, and VP
• Day shift: 14-16 RNs, 14-16 CSTs, 2 Clinical Charge RNs
• Night shift: 1 Clinical Charge RN, 1 OR RN, 1 CST, with call teams for Neuro, CVOR, and General
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Equipment: Standard OR equipment, Stryker video systems

Typical Procedures

• Angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine
• No transplant procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 1 year of OR circulate experience, with circulating experience within the last year
• Experience in a hospital setting

On-Call Requirements

• 2 twelve-hour call shifts per month period
• 3-4 call shifts per month from 5 PM to 7 PM
