TELE/PCU - Cardiac RN

Overview

• Travel RN assignment in Johnstown, Pennsylvania
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• Weekly orientation on Mondays
• Auto offers
• Holiday RTO will not be accommodated

Unit / Setting

• Floor: Tele / PCU
• Trauma Level: 1
• Patient population: Cardiac geriatric
• Patient ratios: RN 1:5
• Call: None
• Weekend requirement: Every other, depending on unit staffing needs
• Float scope: Not normally floated; may float to 1:1s depending on needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Experience working with Cardiac patients
• Cardiac Cath experience
• Complete and clear screenings prior to start
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
• Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
• FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting
• PA State Police Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience preferred

Clinical Details

• Common diagnoses/treatments: CP, MI, Open Heart, Watchmen, TAVR, Postop cardiac cath, post op pacer
• Equipment: Pacer Alines
• EHR: EPIC

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered travel
• NA will send to PCA class if interested
