Typical staffing includes 2 RNs on day shift, 2-3 RNs on mid shift, and 2 RNs on night shift
Usual patient ratio is 4:1, depending on acuity

Freestanding ED converted to a hospital-based ED
On-site resources include respiratory therapy, house supervisor support, staff on med/surg/icu floors, full lab staff, and radiology with CT, MRI, Echo, xray, and US
