Unit Information

Unit: Respiratory NICU/PICU
Facility type: Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU, Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
Unit uses advanced respiratory equipment including High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers
Documentation system: Meditech
Floating policy: May provide coverage for regular adult floors performing nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc.

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC, NRP, PALS
Experience working with Neonate patients
Experience working with Pediatric patients

Job Responsibilities

Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases
Utilize advanced respiratory technologies and medication delivery systems
Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care

I worked in the Respiratory department. The Respiratory manager Alex was a fantastic woman. She does all the on boarding education and she’s your number one person to call for any clinical information scheduling information. She was fantastic.

They need to upgrade their RT equipment and their charting system
