Job Opportunity: XRay Tech (Rad Tech)

Location: Bristol, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Certifications & Licenses Required

• ARRT Certification
• BLS Certification
• State of Connecticut License
• Covid vaccination (3 shots)

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience preferred (1-2 years per modality, with more experience preferred to perform all exams)
• Previous travel experience preferred (not required)

Work Environment & Equipment

• Department has 3 scanners/rooms
• Imaging types: General, OR, FL, Portables
• Average scans per day: 60
• Equipment brands: GE, Phillips, Siemens
• EMR/PACS systems: Meditech and Intellispace PACS

Scheduling & Shifts

• 1st and 2nd shifts available
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Rotate with permanent staff
• No call or standby required

Additional Information

• No floating or covering other areas required
• No in-house radiologist 24/7
• No IV starts required
• Scrubs are not provided; dress code: purple tops, eggplant pants
• Orientation: 1 day HR orientation; training/shadowing duration varies based on traveler’s adaptability to computer systems
