Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (L&D/OB)

Location

• Winslow, Arizona
• Small, rural hospital in Northern Arizona
• Hospital housing available (optional)

Assignment Details

• Travel assignment, 13 weeks
• Night shift: every other week, 3 shifts of 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Start date: August 11

Unit and Patient Population

• Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit: care from labor through discharge
• No high-risk deliveries; all deliveries are 36+ weeks gestation
• Patient population includes many mothers with diabetes and drug/alcohol issues
• Special care or high-risk infants are transported to other facilities
• RN responsible for stabilizing infants and infant care during C-sections (does not circulate)
• Must be able to multitask and manage more than one laboring patient simultaneously

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience, including postpartum, mother-baby, nursery, and infant care
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Ability to stabilize infants

• Prior travel experience is not specified as required
• Shift pattern: 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts every other week
