ICU Nursing Float RN

Location

• Silverdale, Washington

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license for Washington or a compact license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• 2 full years of ICU experience

Clinical Expectations

• Must be able to care for ICU patients and float to ED boarders, MedSurg, and Observation
• Must be able to manage Swan-Ganz, IABP, and Impella
• Must be able to titrate drips in ED, Critical Care, and PCU units
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• May need to float to lower-acuity MedSurg and take a full assignment

Schedule and Unit Details

• Every other weekend required; every weekend may be considered
• Holidays required
• No call or standby requirement
• Set schedule with potential flexibility based on unit needs
• Overtime may be available
• Staffing may call with assignment details shortly before shift start

Orientation

• Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks
• Expect 25+ orientation hours
• Unit orientation includes 1 onboarding day with the manager and 2 shifts with a float pool member

Additional Notes

• Start date and requested time off must be approved by the manager
• Temporary license takes approximately 4 weeks
• Professional scrubs in any color are acceptable
