ICU Nursing Float RN
Location
- Silverdale, Washington
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license for Washington or a compact license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- 2 full years of ICU experience
Clinical Expectations
- Must be able to care for ICU patients and float to ED boarders, MedSurg, and Observation
- Must be able to manage Swan-Ganz, IABP, and Impella
- Must be able to titrate drips in ED, Critical Care, and PCU units
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- May need to float to lower-acuity MedSurg and take a full assignment
Schedule and Unit Details
- Every other weekend required; every weekend may be considered
- Holidays required
- No call or standby requirement
- Set schedule with potential flexibility based on unit needs
- Overtime may be available
- Staffing may call with assignment details shortly before shift start
Orientation
- Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks
- Expect 25+ orientation hours
- Unit orientation includes 1 onboarding day with the manager and 2 shifts with a float pool member
Additional Notes
- Start date and requested time off must be approved by the manager
- Temporary license takes approximately 4 weeks
- Professional scrubs in any color are acceptable
