Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Negative drug screen required for submission

Unit Details

• 26 beds
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5
• Charge nurse takes patients
• Nurse aides/tech support ratio: 1:9

Clinical Setting

• Central telemetry monitoring
• No vents
• Bipap, CPAP, and HF/Vapotherm used
• Hospitalist coverage during the day, with APN in-house and e-hospitalist support after that
• RT available 24/7
• Pharmacy support available 24/7
• Nursing does not mix medications

Orientation

• 12 hours of non-billable orientation
• 1 hospital orientation shift
• 2 unit orientation shifts, including one day shift and one night shift

Patient Population

• CHF
• COVID pneumonia
• Afib with RVR
• Tachy/brady syndrome
• Syncope

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
• Personal scrubs may be worn; scrubs are not provided
• No block scheduling, though night shifts in a row may be accommodated
