Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• No call required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state, or willing to obtain one
• BLS certification through AHA
• 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds
• Experience in a busy Level 1 trauma center

Preferred Experience

• Travel experience
• Inpatient oncology experience
• Hematology experience
• Bone marrow transplant experience

Work Setting

• Med-surg oncology unit
• May float to other med-surg units and other Fargo med-surg units as needed
• Does not work alone

Responsibilities

• Care for medically complex hematology/oncology patients
• Administer blood products and antibiotics
• Manage symptoms and side effects
• Perform head-to-toe assessments
• Administer medications
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team
• Update patients and families
• May be assigned chemotherapy administration if trained

Orientation

• 8 hours of classroom training
• 24–36 hours of unit training

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs

Additional Notes

• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates within 60 miles are not accepted
• Candidates within 60 to 80 miles are subject to a reduced local travel rate
