Radiation Therapist

Location

• Medford, Oregon

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, mostly 8:00 to 5:00
• 40 hours per week
• Guaranteed 40 hours
• Weekends are not required, except rarely if treatment is needed because a machine goes down during the week

Setting

• Outpatient Radiation Oncology clinic
• Dedicated to Radiation Oncology only; no floating to other departments
• 2 therapists on each machine

Required Qualifications

• ARRT
• BLS
• Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) licensure
• At least 5 years of experience in external beam radiation therapy patient treatment delivery

Job Duties

• Deliver external beam radiation therapy patient treatments on Varian TrueBeam and Elekta Infinity treatment machines
• Perform CT scans
• Use Mosaiq record and verify treatment record

Preferred / Helpful

• Experience with the Varian TrueBeam machine

Orientation

• Training is provided through shadowing current Radiation Therapists, with an expected ramp-up of about 3 to 5 days
