Radiation Therapist
Location
- Medford, Oregon
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, mostly 8:00 to 5:00
- 40 hours per week
- Guaranteed 40 hours
- Weekends are not required, except rarely if treatment is needed because a machine goes down during the week
Setting
- Outpatient Radiation Oncology clinic
- Dedicated to Radiation Oncology only; no floating to other departments
- 2 therapists on each machine
Required Qualifications
- ARRT
- BLS
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) licensure
- At least 5 years of experience in external beam radiation therapy patient treatment delivery
Job Duties
- Deliver external beam radiation therapy patient treatments on Varian TrueBeam and Elekta Infinity treatment machines
- Perform CT scans
- Use Mosaiq record and verify treatment record
Preferred / Helpful
- Experience with the Varian TrueBeam machine
Orientation
- Training is provided through shadowing current Radiation Therapists, with an expected ramp-up of about 3 to 5 days
