Overview

• Contract role in Crystal Lake, Illinois
• Critical Access Hospital
• Night shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every third weekend and holiday rotation, including Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve
• Required to float to the Harvard, Illinois location

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws
• Document care according to standards of care
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute patient plans of care based on individual patient needs and physician or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, shared governance, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review
• Use clinical expertise to guide other units and departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care
• Use critical thinking related to patient safety and patient experience and escalate appropriately through the chain of command
