Central Sterile Technician

Location: Gardner, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: 32-hour days, with some weeknight call and some weekend call
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview

Responsible for central sterile processing duties, including sterilization, instrument and scope cleaning, supply stocking, and supporting perioperative services operations.

Required Qualifications

Centralized Sterile Technician experience within the last year
0.5 years of experience as a Centralized Sterile Technician
CRCST
High school diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, process, and sterilize instruments and supplies using steam or ethylene oxide methods
Operate, clean, inspect, and test sterilizers and autoclaves
Clean scopes using high-level disinfection methods
Maintain supply inventory, restock carts, and order supplies as needed
Perform tray assembly, packaging, and preparation for sterilization
Support department workflow, throughput, and performance improvement activities
Assist with orientation, in-services, and other assigned duties
