Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical exam, and diagnostic data.
Provide age-specific nursing interventions consistent with plan of care and standards of practice.
Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
Use appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
Utilize standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
Precept and mentor novice employees.
Participate in hospital-system initiatives promoting Evidence Based Practices.
Demonstrate professional growth through goal setting and educational participation.
May float to assist other similar units as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Experience

Specialty: RN Labor and Delivery
Required years of experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery with recent experience within the last year
Prior travel experience: Not required.

Additional Information

Professional growth and educational participation are encouraged.
May be required to float to similar units as needed.
