Job Opportunity: Postpartum RN

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, day/night rotation
  • Every other week (EOW) schedule
  • Availability required for every other holiday

Required Qualifications

  • License: Valid RN license for Massachusetts (no conditional licenses accepted)
  • Experience: Minimum years of experience in Postpartum nursing (use highest required if multiple sources; not explicitly stated here, so confirm with recruiter)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Required Credentials & Documentation

  • Professional license verification (primary source) within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration
  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
  • Two professional references within the last 4 years (minimum one supervisor or higher in relevant skillset)
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, including county and international residence/travel history for last 7 years
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date
  • Social Security Number trace with addresses/aliases for past 7 years
  • National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start date, updated annually
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start date, updated annually
  • Education verification of highest level achieved (not required for CNA)
  • Confirmation of assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for extensions
  • Candidate submission coversheet for initial assignment and new facility submissions

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • MMR: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine OR two MMR vaccines OR proof of immunity via blood test
  • TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start date; updated if break >6 months
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date; updated if break >6 months
  • Fit test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date; updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation completed prior to fit test and updated if medical status changes
  • Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred (3 doses or proof of immunity or declination)
  • Tdap vaccine preferred within last 10 years and updated upon expiration
  • If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray after positive test is required

Additional Notes

  • A professional badge photo (color, recent, plain background, no filters or glasses) is required for onboarding
  • Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation
  • All background and credential checks must be current and updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months

This position is ideal for experienced postpartum RNs comfortable with rotating shifts and holiday availability. Compliance with all credentialing and health requirements is mandatory for onboarding.
