Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Nights, 19:00 - 07:30 (36 hours, including every other weekend and every other holiday)
Job Description
- Provide administrative, operational, and clinical supervision for all services during assigned shifts (nights, weekends, holidays).
- Serve as the clinical resource for patient care and services.
- Act as the patient care representative, collaborating with medical staff, ancillary support, and clinical services to ensure optimal patient care and environment.
- Responsible for notifying Administrator-On-Call of serious issues, incidents, and disasters.
- Conduct rounds in all patient care areas, focusing on high-acuity patients.
- Collaborate with support services, emergency, admitting, and clinical teams to coordinate patient care and environmental needs.
- Supervise patient care by verifying nursing practices and standards.
- Provide direction and guidance to facilitate the nursing process.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 3 years of Critical Care Float experience, including within the last year
- Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
- House Supervisor experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
