Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Technician
Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Job Description
- Full-time position supporting endoscopy procedures.
- Typical work hours are weekdays from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician.
- Recent Endoscopy Technician experience within the last year.
Health and Safety Requirements
- N95 Fit Test: Must have a current N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually. No exemptions allowed.
- Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required as part of the fit test process.
- MMR Immunization: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine, or two MMR vaccines, or proof of immunity via blood test.
- TB Testing: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start date; must be updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months.
- Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if break in service exceeds 6 months.
- Positive PPD: If applicable, documentation of a negative chest x-ray after a positive TB test is required.
Professional Requirements
Background and Screening
- Criminal Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days prior to start date and updated if break in service exceeds 6 months. Includes county and international residence/employment history for the past 7 years.
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Completed within 30 days prior to start date and updated if break exceeds 6 months.
- National Sex Offender Registry Check: Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
- Exclusion Checks: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually, including OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid exclusion lists.
- Social Security Number Trace: Completed with criminal background check, covering the past 7 years.
- Education Verification: Highest level of education verified through background check company.
Documentation and Submission Requirements
- Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state for all positions and education.
- References: Two references within the last 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the relevant skillset.
- Skills Checklist: Must be completed within 1 year of submission.
- Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for initial assignment submissions.
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required upon acceptance of assignment and for any extensions.
Optional Documentation
- Name Change Documentation: If legal name differs from credential or profile, supporting documents must be provided.
Summary
This Endoscopy Technician role is a 13-week long-term assignment with weekday day shifts. Candidates must meet comprehensive health, immunization, and background screening requirements prior to onboarding. Prior travel experience is not required. The position demands adherence to strict safety protocols including annual N95 fit testing and TB screening. Submission of detailed professional documentation and references is mandatory.
