Shift: Nights and Every Other Weekend (19:00 - 07:30)
Unit: 24-Bed Medical Cardiology Unit (Pingree 4)
Patient Ratio:

• Days: 1:5
• Nights: 1:6

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a telemetry unit specializing in cardiology.
• Must be able to read telemetry strips and perform cardiac drips.
• Care includes post-catheterization procedures such as PCI, ICD, PPM, Ablation, TR Band, and femoral approach.
• Strong cardiac background required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Cardiology experience
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Information

• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing.
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity is strongly preferred but optional.
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years is preferred.
• Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation.
• Education verification required for highest level achieved.
• Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documents.

This position is ideal for experienced telemetry RNs with a strong cardiac skill set who are comfortable working night shifts and every other weekend in a specialized cardiology telemetry unit.
