Registered Nurse (RN) NICU - Travel Position

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Setting: Special Care Nursery with floating to main NICU and PICU/Pediatrics as needed
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Rotating, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts), 36 hours guaranteed


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care primarily in the Special Care Nursery (Level 3 NICU experience required)
  • Float to main NICU and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active Hawaii RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience, including Level 3 NICU experience
  • Certifications:
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (AAP NRP Advanced Provider)
  • Current N-95 Fit Test within the past 12 months
  • Required immunizations and health screenings with no declinations:
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
    • Hepatitis B
    • Influenza (seasonal, no declinations Oct 1 – Mar 31)
    • Varicella
    • Tdap
    • Tuberculosis test (Two Step Skin Test, TSpot, or Quantiferon within 12 months) and annual TB questionnaire
  • Drug screen (10 panel) within 60 days prior to start
  • 7-year criminal background check (county, state, national, federal) and SSN trace within 60 days prior to start
  • Professional verifications and documentation required:
    • Driver’s License or State ID
    • Education verification (diploma/degree/transcript)
    • Employment verification
    • Professional references (2) from recent assignments
    • Confidentiality, dress code, latex questionnaire, orientation acknowledgement, traveler attestation, and other facility-specific forms

Additional Information

  • This is a travel nursing assignment with rotating shifts
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic NICU environment with occasional pediatric ICU exposure
  • Compliance with all facility-specific onboarding and credentialing requirements is mandatory
