Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)

Job Description

  • Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
  • Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment type and frequency.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor patient care plans and respiratory equipment.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Evaluate respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and available community support.
  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.

Required Qualifications

License and Certification

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Oklahoma.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.

  • At least two professional references prior to first assignment.
  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, and National Sex Offender Registry.
  • Employment verification for the past seven years.
  • Signed assignment agreement and onboarding education attestation.

Health and Safety

  • Proof of immunizations and health screenings including:
    • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted).
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
    • Influenza vaccine during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement).
    • Varicella immunity (two vaccines, serological evidence, or history; no declinations accepted).
    • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
    • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire.
    • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be completed onsite).
    • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
    • 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.

Competency and Skills

  • Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics.
  • Skills checklist for respiratory therapy specialty, updated annually.

Identification

  • Valid driver's license or state ID matching address on file.

  • Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations).
