Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Mequon, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Work schedule includes every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
• May be assigned to care for boarded patients in the Emergency Department (ED)
• Must be proficient with EPIC electronic health record system
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles as needed

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Prior travel experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (MOAB or CPI)

Onboarding Requirements

• Signed assignment agreement prior to start
• Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
• Completion of onboarding education attestation and modules prior to clearance
• Onsite nursing contract worker onboarding
• Confirmation of assignment documentation with accurate start and end dates
• Annual updates and re-verifications as required for ongoing compliance

Additional Notes

• Clinical skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually
• May be required to float to other units or nearby sites within 40 miles based on staffing needs

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs with prior travel experience who are comfortable working night shifts and flexible with floating assignments.
