Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery/Perinatal setting.
• Requires experience in managing labor and delivery patients with fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Current and valid Texas RN license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references.
• Completion of a criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, and National Sex Offender Registry within 30 days prior to assignment.
• Completion of required onboarding education and competency exams specific to specialty, including:

  • Specialty exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years.
  • Core competencies covering HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other regulatory topics, updated every 3 years.
  • Unit-specific checklist (optional but recommended).
• Health and immunization requirements including:

  • Proof of two MMR vaccines or positive titer (no declinations accepted).
  • Proof of two Varicella vaccines, immunity evidence, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted).
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
  • Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (mask required if declined).
  • Tuberculosis screening with 2-step PPD or IGRA test and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Fit test for respiratory protection, preferably completed prior to start.
  • Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to assignment start, updated annually.
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
• Driver’s license or state ID valid and matching address requirements.

Additional Notes

• Must complete Cerner test-out and training checklist prior to assignment.
• Onsite onboarding and completion of required pre-hire modules are mandatory.
• All certifications and verifications must be current and compliant with facility standards.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
