Job Summary

• Work on an Adaptive Acuity Unit with occasional assignments in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a 3:1 patient ratio (non-negotiable).
• Patient ratio on unit: 1:5
• Unit size: 25 beds
• Charge nurse responsibilities are required and non-negotiable.
• Drip experience is required.
• Willingness to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice.
• Small critical access facility experience preferred.
• Must have own vehicle.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2+ years current Med Surg/Telemetry experience (required).
• Charge nurse experience (required).
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience (strongly required).
• Drip experience (required).
• ICU experience (strongly preferred).
• Minimum 3 months previous travel experience (required, non-negotiable).
• Experience in small critical access facilities preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Vermont RN License or Compact License (required).
• American Heart Association BLS (required).
• American Heart Association ACLS (required).

Additional Requirements

• Must provide 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years.
• Skills checklists for PCU, Med Surg, and Telemetry current within 1 year must be documented.
• Permanent address and any requested time off (RTO) must be included at submission; scheduling requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer.

Work Environment

• 25-bed critical access hospital.
• Adaptive acuity unit with occasional PCU care.
• No overtime multiplier; OT paid at regular rate.
• Holiday multiplier: 1.25%.
• Call, call-back, and charge pay not applicable beyond charge nurse duties.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with strong Med Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and charge nurse skills who have prior travel experience and are comfortable working in a small critical access hospital setting.
