Job Opportunity: Temporary Ultrasound Technologist (Cardiac & Vascular)
Location: Saginaw, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams on inpatients and outpatients. Responsible for daily lab operations including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, quality improvement, and ensuring high standards of medical ethics. Use independent judgment to produce quality diagnostic images and differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce quality images by selecting appropriate technical factors, equipment, and transducer settings.
- Verify patient orders, obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns.
- Independently operate sonographic equipment and communicate diagnostic findings.
- Manage daily department operations, including patient scheduling and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adequate supplies.
- Perform appropriate sterilization techniques and maintain accurate documentation.
- Comply with all regulatory laws, standards, and protocols (The Joint Commission, federal, state, local).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Ultrasound Technologist experience (highest required years of experience).
- Proficiency in Cardiac Ultrasound (required).
- Proficiency in Vascular Ultrasound (required).
- Active American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Certification.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Recent (within 1 year) skills checklist relevant to Ultrasound specialty.
- Two supervisory reference forms from the last two years.

- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered).
