Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
Orientation scheduled between June 8 and June 21.

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa.
Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Driver’s license.
Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
License verification and copy of required certifications.
Work history/resume.
One supervisory reference required at time of submission.
Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
Not employed by this health system within the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with heparin drip.
Experience using EPIC electronic medical record system.

Additional Information

Night shift with 12-hour shifts.
OT/Holiday pay and call-back pay available (details not included).
Call-back minimum of 2 hours.
Charge/preceptor pay available.
Must be able to work in a trauma center environment (level 3 trauma center).

Note: Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are welcome.
